easy to install linux Are there any user friendly Linux OS out there?  
I am a newbie to the world of Linux.  Tried to install RH Linux 6.1 and could not configure my sound card or mount my cd rom (Ken Wood 52x).  Love the xwindows environment, but just wish installation was easier.  Are there any easy to install linux systems out there?  Please tell me someone is building Linux OS that is easy and friendly as Windoz.  Anything in the works?

Well... finding a friendly distribution doesn't mean it will be compatible with your hardware.  And regardless how easy it is to install, you still have to learn quite a bit. Take your time.  Browse through the how-to's at http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/HOWTO-INDEX-3.html.  Start with the Hardware Compatibility Howto.

You might take a look at Corel Linux (linux.corel.com) Make that linux.corel.ca And yes, it is a very user friendly distribution/installation. Practically no questions asked during installation. Carlos
